At left: IF ONLY!The boyfriend and I braved the inclement weather tonight to venture down to Trader Joe's so we could stock up on cheap wine. Our plan was to buy a case of the Two-Buck Chuck (which now actually costs $2.99), and then pat ourselves on the back for getting 12 bottles of wine for less than $40. Self-congratulation is fun!
Sadly, though, our travels were for naught. Chuck has become very popular in these economic times, it seems, and the entire supply was out. The lesson: if you want to get your hands on some cheap swill, you better show up early. Also, buy in bulk.
